The field trip provides opportunities to learn about the past, present, and future of salmon in the Columbia River. It will include cultural and spiritual ceremonies as well as a variety of other activities, displays, performances, and talks. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to engage with researchers, topical experts and traditional knowledge keepers to learn about the history, importance, challenges, and potential future of salmon in the Columbia River Basin, as well as the reintroduction of salmon into the Columbia River above Chief Joseph and Grand Coulee Dams in Washington and into British Columbia.
